NHS staff are getting into the Christmas spirit to educate patients about festive services.

Staff have produced a light-hearted video, which is a parody of the twelve days of Christmas, which offers advice on where to seek help.

The cast includes twelve midwives, eleven nurses, ten pharmacists, nine occupational therapists, eight dentists, seven domestics, six porters, five district nurses, four optometrists, three health visitors, two GPs and one consultant.

The video was recorded by local musician Gary O'Hagan and singer Katie O'Dowd, both from Chapelhall in North Lanarkshire.

Dr Gregor Smith, medical director for primary care, NHS Lanarkshire said: "When you are feeling unwell, you want to get the right treatment in the shortest possible time.

"I hope that the video will encourage people to use the services that are most appropriate to their needs."
