PAISLEY is to welcome the official launch of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival tomorrow.

The launch, at Paisley Town Hall, will run from 11.30am to 12.45pm.

The festival runs from Monday until October 24 and will encompass theatre, film, dance, music, comedy, literature and the visual arts.

This year the theme is Walk in my Shoes and the festival will explore mental health identities, raise awareness and tackle stigma through the arts.

Highlights include the Scottish premiere of I, Anna, starring Charlotte Rampling, and rare screenings of Anti-Clock and Dali In New York.

Comedy is represented by John Hegley, Mark Steel and others and Keir McAlister and John Scott are among a group of Scottish stand-ups.
