AN optician chain in Glasgow will hand out free books to celebrate Book Week Scotland.
Specsavers in Tron-gate, Sauchiehall Street, Byres Road and at the Forge will have copies of a book featuring the work of Scots contributors, from Monday.
The stores have joined with the Scottish Book Trust to distribute My Favourite Place, a collec- tion of stories, poems and songs including win- ning entries of a creative writing contest and original pieces from authors such as Liz Lochhead and Michael Palin.
