A LEADING SCOTS confectioner announced their support for a children's charity whilst tucking into some of their famous products.

Lees of Scotland, which is responsible for the famous snowball and macaroon treats, has launched a new fundraising initiative with the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

To celebrate Lees held a special afternoon tea for children and their families at Robin House in Balloch where they all tucked in to Lees sweet treats.

Bosses at the treat firm say they are proud to support the charity, which helps sick children and their families across the country.

Clive Miquel, managing director at Lees of Scotland said: "The care and support that CHAS provides to these families when they are going through such a difficult time is second to none.

"We are extremely proud to be able to support such a great cause and by adding the logo to our products we are not only helping to raise much needed funds for the charity but we are also raising awareness of the great work that it does."

Samantha Reilly, fundraiser at CHAS said: "To have Lees supporting CHAS in this way is something we couldn't be happier about. It means so much to us to have our logo on such a popular and well-known brand in Scotland as the more people we can make aware of CHAS and the work it does the better.

"We are so grateful for all the support Lees has shown over the past year and are looking forward to continuing our partnership in such an exciting way."
