Taggart star backs school campaign

TAGGART star Colin McCredie is backing a campaign to save the high school made famous in the film Gregory's Girl.

Abronhill High School, where the movie was shot in 1981, is facing closure under plans by North Lanarkshire Council to merge it with Cumbernauld High.

McCredie, whose wife used to teach at the school, said: "I was interested in the campaign, particularly as the film Gregory's Girl was filmed there."
