A COMMUNITY project aimed at helping people eat well on a tight budget will be cooking up a treat tomorrow.

Tom Shields, below, who writes for our sister papers The Herald and Sunday Herald, will host the first meeting of a community food club.

He will host the Broken Biscuits Cookery Club from 11am-2pm at the Albany Centre, Woodlands.

The project invites families to find out about tasty food by watching demonstrations and making dishes.

Monir Mohammed, the man behind the Mother India and Wee Curry Shop restaurants, will be the first special guest.

Tickets are £10 for a parent and child. To book call 0141 354 6521 or send an e-mail to: outreach@gcvs.org.uk
