MISS Scotland Jamey Bowers delighted veterans when she visited the Erskine

Home for tea.

The beauty queen recently announced that Erskine is her chosen charity and she is helping to raise funds for Scottish veterans.

Jamey stopped by the home in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, to be presented with a bouquet of flowers by 88-year-old veteran Robert Gilfillan - who earned himself a kiss on the cheek.

She had tea and cakes with the residents and later said: "It was lovely to meet some of the Erskine veterans and to hear more about the fantastic work the charity delivers.

"I'm just very glad my support can help Erskine to keep on caring for Scottish veterans and I hope to be back to visit very soon."

Mr Gilfillan said: "It was lovely to meet Jamey - she's a beautiful young woman with a heart of gold - and we are grateful for her support. Erskine is a wonderful place."
