A TEENAGER has been injured in an attack in Glasgow City Centre.
The 19-year-old man was assaulted this morning on Sauchiehall Street during rush hour, just before 9am.
Police cordoned off the area of the attack, outside the Beresford Building, while CID carried out a probe into the incident.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said paramedics had not been called to attend the scene.
There was no disruption to traffic, although the police cordon remains in place.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Inquiries are at a very early stage and CID are currently investigating the incident."
The Beresford, formerly a hotel, is now popular with students and tourists who lease apartments for weekend trips to the city.
