Three people have been detained by police following reports of an armed man in an Ayrshire town.
Officers were called out to Station Drive, in Irvine, North Ayrshire, shortly before 12pm yesterday after reports of a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said no-one had been hurt and no firearms had been discharged.
