Three in court after man found dead in street

THREE people have been arrested after the body of a man was found outside his home.

William McLachlan, 57, was found dead outside his house in Holehouse Road, Largs, North Ayrshire, just before 7am on Saturday.

Police Scotland said three men, two aged 20 and one 19, have been arrested in connection with the death and are being held in police custody.

The three men are expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today.

Mr McLachlan's relatives have been informed of his death and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
