THREE orphaned badger siblings found in a garden are recovering in the Scottish SPCA's care.
The cubs, around six-weeks-old, were discovered in a garden in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, in broad daylight.
The triplets are now being look after at the charity's National Wildlife Rescue Centre in Clackmannanshire, where they have been nicknamed Bumble, Buz and Bee.
Centre manager Colin Seddon said: "We have two males and a female badger.
"It seems something must have happened to their mother as they shouldn't have been above ground at this age, let alone outside during the day.
"The badgers have been introduced to another cub of a similar age, who was brought in separately.
"All four will remain in our care until the autumn, when they will be released at a carefully selected site as a bonded group."
Anyone who discovers an injured or distressed wild animal should call the Scottish SPCA animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
