A MAN who raped a woman moments after he stopped her leaving a house has been jailed for three years.
Robert Moyes, 33, sexually assaulted the female at a property in Carntyne, Glasgow, on March 9, 2014.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard how the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was in the company of Moyes but wanted to leave him.
He stopped her and then forced her to have sex with him.
Moyes, a prisoner of HMP Barlinnie, was convicted of rape last month at the High Court in Glasgow.
Sentence had been deferred in order for the court to obtain background and character reports.
Yesterday, judge Lord Stewart also ordered Moyes to be supervised for two years following his release from prison.
