BBC drama The Hour is to be axed after two series.
The show, set in a 1950s TV newsroom, starred Dominic West and Ben Whishaw, above.
Despite acclaim for the show, ratings dropped by more than a quarter on its second run, down from the 2million-plus who watched the first series.
