A STAR-STUDDED Burns Supper hosted by a former Evening Times Scotswoman of the Year raised much-needed funds for charity.
Dr Margo Whiteford, who won the accolade in 2009, hosted the event at the Glasgow Hilton in her role as chairwoman of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association (SSBA).
Guests were treated to a four-course meal, with speakers including Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP and former Hamilton MP Lord Robertson, above.
All the money raised will go to the SSBA, which provides life-long support to more than 3000 Scottish children, young adults and families who have been affected by spina bifida.
Most of those born with the condition will be paralysed from the waist down and be lifelong wheelchair users.
Dr Whiteford said: "The Association encourages all children affected by the disabilities to be the best they can be in life."
