PERFORMING pooches are needed to tread the boards in Glasgow.

A theatre production company is looking for dogs for a role in smash hit show, The Play That Goes Wrong, when it comes to the King's Theatre in March.

Your pet could follow in the paw-steps of top celebrity dog Harvey, who has starred in a host of television shows and adverts, including the Thinkbox TV ad.

On the big screen, he has starred with Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd and Pirates of The Caribbean, as well as in Clash of The Titans and Wolfman.

And Uggie the dog, who appeared as actor Jean Dujardin's pet in The Artist, picked up the animal equivalent of an Oscar at the prestigious Golden Collars.

The lucky owners of the chosen hounds will receive a pair of tickets to see the show on their dog's night off, and a complementary family ticket for one of their dog's performances.

Dog owners who think their pet has what it takes are asked to tweet a picture to @mischiefcomedy and @GlasgowKings, with the hashtag #GlasgowPupIdol.

Pictures can also be posted on the King's Theatre Facebook page: www.facebook.com/kings andtheatreroyal glasgow.

Or send an e-mail with an attachment to kezia@kenny wax.com.

Owners must be prepared to accompany their prize pet back-stage in the theatre.

The Play that Goes Wrong is on at the King's Theatre from Monday, March 10 until Saturday, March 15.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 0844 871 7648 or visiting atgtickets.com/Glasgow
