Supporters, including Creative Scotland and Scottish Enterprise, gathered to take tea, as Mackintosh Heritage Group chairwoman Caroline Barr revealed details of the festival programme.

Performers from theatre company Mischief La-Bas dressed as Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald to celebrate the innovative Glasgow architect, who will be the focus of a two-week festival from October 15.

To celebrate the launch of the festival, guests enjoyed a special high tea featuring a new blend of 'orange pekoe' tea, a black Indian tea which was a favourite tipple of the design genius.
