AN EXTRA 220 carriages will be added to trains to make room for rugby fans.
ScotRail is to provide more seats that ever on Sunday to help fans travelling to and from Edinburgh for Scotland's Six Nations game against Ireland.
But the rail company has advised trains will still be busy, particularly if most spectators head for Haymarket station straight after the final whistle.
It has asked fans to consider postponing their journeys home – with post-match entertainment available at Murrayfield stadium.
Queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Queen Street before the game, and at Haymarket after, to help safely guide customers on and off trains.
Fans are advised to buy their tickets in advance, allow extra time for travel and to note that drinking or carrying alcohol is banned on rugby trains.
