A TRANSPORT firm has scooped first place in a national awards scheme.
First Glasgow made the top spot in this year's First UK Bus Lifelong Learning Awards thanks to one of its training centres in the city.
Depots in Larkfield, Scotstoun, Parkhead, Blantyre, Overtown and Dumbarton are each kitted out with a Learning Centre, allowing staff to receive training.
But the Parkhead centre was crowned the best in the 'Learning Centre of Excellence' category, competing with more than 50 other UK-wide centres.
Managing director of First Glasgow, Fiona Kerr, said: "I'm delighted that our Parkhead Learning Centre has enjoyed such success."
