A MAN is to stand trial this month accused of raping a woman while she was asleep.
Iain Rhodes, 53, appeared at the High Court in Glasgow charged with attacking the woman at a property in Rutherglen on April 29, 2012.
It is claimed the alleged victim was "asleep, under the influence of alcohol and incapable of giving consent" at the time.
Rhodes, of Rutherglen, denies the charge. Trial was set for September 29 at the High Court in Edinburgh.
