Brian, 56, worked as a vendor for six years and was well-known at his pitch in Sauchiehall Street.
The father-of-three from Pollokshaws had been ill since April, and will be "much missed" by both his colleagues and customers.
Newspaper Sales Manager Malcolm MacDonald said: "Brian was a very popular member of the vending team. He made many friends working on his pitch.
"We were all deeply saddened by his death and he will be missed by all of us."
Brian's funeral took place at St Mary's Church in Pollokshaws.
He is survived by his two sons, George and Sean, his daughter Nicola, mum Isabel and sister Catriona.
