Caleb Wallace plunged from an upstairs window in the flat where he lived with his 24-year-old mum.
Outside the block in St Andrew's Drive, Pollokshields, a tree close to the scene of the tragedy has been surrounded by floral tributes.
A large picture of Caleb has been hung on the tree, above the words: "I did not have enough room in my heart for all the love I had for you. RIP Baby Boy."
Another says simply: "Always in our hearts. Taken for the angels. Sleep tight, Caleb. XXXX."
The tragedy happened on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the five-storey block of flats at about 10.20am.
Eye witnesses who saw events unfold described a desperate struggle to save the youngsters.
He was rushed to Yorkhill Children's Hospital but died a short time after his arrival.
Strathclyde Police said inquiries were continuing and added that a full report would be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Reacting to news of the death, Nicola Sturgeon, SNP MSP for Glasgow Southside, said: "I am desperately sad to hear about this tragic incident in my constituency, resulting in the death of a young child."
