In November parents of Lourdes Primary's 400 pupils were called to an emergency meeting.
They were told the South Side building in Cardonald, which was built just eight years ago, had serious problems and was to shut.
Pupils were sent to nearby schools Sandwood Primary in Penilee, Govan High and Lourdes Secondary while repairs were carried out.
Head teacher Brian Traynor has written to parents saying the building will re-open on Monday for the start of the school term.
He visited the school last week with executive education director Maureen McKenna and bosses of the builders, Miller Construction.
It was then decided the majority of the pupils would return to school on January 7.
Mr Traynor said in his letter: "We are proposing to have a phased return to the school.
"I would like to thank parents for their patience and understanding but I know you will all be pleased we can now return, albeit in stages, to our school."
All P1 to P5s should attend on Monday. Also on Monday, all P6 and P7 should return to Lourdes Secondary and all nursery children should continue to go to Rosshall Nursery.
Mr Traynor added: "We are proposing to use the weekend of January 12 and 13 to move the P6 and P7 classroom and nursery resources back into Lourdes Primary.
"From January 14, P6, P7 and nursery children should return to Lourdes Primary."
When the problem was discovered in November, Glasgow City Council said it was launching a probe which could result in legal action.
Lourdes Primary was also one of the schools worst affected by storms last winter, resulting in five classrooms being taken out of use, as repor- ted in the Evening Times in January, 2012.
