TWO people have died following a horrific car crash.
Police today said a 21-year-old woman and a man, 29, were killed in the crash.
The woman was driving while the man was believed to be a front-seat passenger.
Both died at the scene.
It happened at around 1.10am yesterday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A70, near Roodlea Golf Course, in Ayrshire, after the alarm was raised.
The man and woman who died were travelling West in their grey Rover, when they were involved in a collision with a silver Citroen Despatch, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Police closed the road for hours while an investigation got under way.
The driver and the passenger of the Citroen were taken to Ayr Hospital by ambulance, where they remain in stable condition.
