TWO men were rescued from a car after it flipped during a three-vehicle crash.
Firefighters helped to remove the pair after their car overturned on Glasgow Road in Kilmarnock around 12.15 this afternoon.
The vehicle was stabilised and the two men were taken to Crosshouse hospital for treatment.
Two appliances were sent from Kilmarnock fire station to attend the scene, arriving within seven minutes of the first alert.
Watch Manager Tony Cano, the incident commander, said: "We arrived to find one car on its roof and two people inside, so firefighters began work to stabilise the vehicle and extricate the casualties.
"We used blocks and chocks to prevent the car from moving while the casualties and firefighters were inside.
"Our crews implemented an effective road rescue that ensured both casualties were safely removed from the car using a rescue board.
"They were treated by ambulance personnel before being taken to Crosshouse Hospital."
