Police were today dealing with what they described as "ongoing incident" in Ayrshire.
Princes Street, in Ardrossan town centre was cordoned off.
Public transport, including Stagecoach buses, were diverted because of the road closure.
Police said man was arrested following the incident.
All surrounding roads and Princes Street were reopened.
