The man was found by police officers yesterday.
The body of 49-year-old Edward Bennett, of Helenvale Street in Parkhead, was found inside a flat in Crowlin Crescent, Cranhill.
The discovery was made by officers yesterday at around 10.15am.
One person has been arrested and in connection with the death and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said no further details could be given at this time.
Relatives of Mr Bennett have been made aware and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The spokesman said: “One person has been arrested and is detained in police custody in connection with the death of 49-year-old Edward Bennett of Helenvale Street, Parkhead, Glasgow.
“The person is expected to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.”
