A man who stole a three-figure sum of money during an armed robbery is being sought by police.
The incident took place at the Co-op store on High Barholm, Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire, at around 8.35pm yesterday.
The man threatened members of staff with a weapon before leaving the shop with a three-figure sum of money, heading towards the Johnstone area.
No members of staff were injured.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in, of medium build and may have an English accent.
He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers. He was also carrying a white carrier bag.
Detective Constable Grant Spy said: "We are carrying out inquiries in the local area including checking CCTV in an effort to trace the man responsible and police patrols in the area have been increased as a result.
"The weather at the time of the incident was particularly bad and anyone out walking at the time would have stood out due to this."
