A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after an attempted armed robbery at a wholesale off-licence in Rutherglen.
The man was today in custody after he was arrested in connection with the incident at Kwik Keg on Tuesday when staff were allegedly confronted by a man in a balaclava and a shot was fired into the ground.
The man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
