THREE people from Glasgow were arrested and tobacco worth £287,000 seized during a raid.
Two men, aged 33 and 37, and a 31-year-old woman were arrested after HMRC officers searched addresses in the Glasgow on Friday.
Officers recovered more than a tonne of hand rolling tobacco, tobacco shredding machinery and boxes of counterfeit packaging.
David Odd, Assistant Director, Criminal Investigation, HMRC, said: "Tobacco crime undermines legitimate producers and retailers and has a serious and detrimental impact on our communities."
A 48-year-old man was also arrested in Fife.
All four were charged and have been released pending further enquiries.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
