POLICE searching for a missing man who has not been seen for several weeks have found a body.
The grim discovery was made at a park in Ardrossan, Ayrshire on Tuesday morning.
Officers cordoned off an area at Cannonhill, just off Glasgow Street, in the town at around 11.15am.
Mr Watt, 53, was last seen around eight weeks ago.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a formal identification is still to take place.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that the body of a man was found at Castlehill, Ardrossan.
"Inquiries are ongoing into this incident and we will provide an update when able."
