Footage of a man officers believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries following a sexual assault in Glasgow on Saturday, April 19, has been released by Police Scotland.

The 27-year-old woman was attacked and sexually assaulted at around 11.30pm as she made her way home from work from the city centre across Glasgow Green.

Detectives are appealing for the man in the footage to contact police as it is believed he may have witnessed the incident or have information that can help officers with their investigation.

He is described as white, 5 ft 8 in height, of medium build, with medium length dark brown hair.

He was wearing dark jeans and a dark sleeved top or shirt.

Detective Inspector Diane Caldwell, Divisional Rape Investigation Unit, London Road Police Office, said: "I would appeal to anyone who knows the man or his whereabouts to contact police via the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.

"I also appeal directly to the man himself to get in touch with officers."
