Chris Froome's "brilliant" Tour de France victory has been praised by everyone from fellow sports stars to politicians.
Britain has scored the impressive feat of producing two riders who have won the Tour de France in consecutive years with Sir Bradley Wiggins and now 28-year-old Froome.
David Cameron and Ed Miliband took to Twitter to congratulate the cyclist on his win, with the Prime Minister tweeting: "A brilliant win by @chrisfroome.
"After two British winners it's only right the Tour de France comes to Yorkshire next year."
The Number 10 Twitter account added that Froome's win "Confirms British dominance in cycling".
