Concern grows for missing woman, 33

A search is underway to find a missing 33-year-old woman who was last seen in the Gorebridge area of Edinburgh yesterday.

Police are keen to trace Diane Weir who was last seen near to Barleyknowe Terrace.

She has not been seen or heard from since and concern is now growing for her welfare.

Anyone who can assist police with their enquiries is asked to come forward.

She is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall with a slim build and blonde shoulder-length hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue super dry top and a black puffa style gillet with purple lining.

Inspector Calum Welsh, of Midlothian Police, said: "There is concern for Diane and anyone with information that can help us in finding and bringing Diane home is asked to contact police immediately."

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
