Concerns are growing for a missing teenager with Down's Syndrome.
Callum Weir was last seen at 2.30pm yesterday at Abercorn School on Garscube Road, where he is a pupils.
The 17-year-old is described as around 5ft 6in, slim build, with short spiked hair. He was seen wearing a blue jacket with blue denim jeans. Callum has notably slurred speech.
Sergeant Roland Fabiani from Helen Street Police Office said: "We are very concerned with the disappearance of Callum, particularly as he has Down's Syndrome.
"We understand that it's not like Callum to disappear for this length of time. Given the length of time which has passed concern is mounting for his wellbeing.
His family are understandably anxious and we are continuing enquiries to trace Callum safe and well. I would ask anyone with information to contact police immediately on 101."
