Police are hunting a group of men who smashed a car with bats and hammers before attacking the occupants.
Four men, aged 19, 20, 25 and 26, were sitting inside a silver Volkswagen Golf in Briarwood Court, in the Mount Vernon area of Glasgow, at around 8pm last night when a group of three or four approached the car and started smashing the windows.
They then attacked those inside the car before running off.
The injured men managed to make their way to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and have since been released, police said.
The suspects were dressed in dark hooded clothing and may have left the scene of the attack in a car parked nearby.
Officers do not believe it was a random attack and are appealing for information.
Detective Constable Gemma Lawrie said: "We are currently trying to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident which we believe was not a random attack.
"I would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Briarwood Court around 8pm last night and may have seen the suspects hanging about the area or anyone who saw them running off afterwards."
Anyone with information can contact policeon 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
