A man who left the scene of a road crash which killed a woman has been traced.
He was found safe and well in the north-east of England and has been interviewed by police in relation to the incident near Eaglesfield in Dumfries and Galloway.
Faranza Kousar, 39, from St Andrews Street in Glasgow, died after the crash on Monday, which involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a silver Toyota Avensis car.
The incident took place on the northbound A74 (M) just north of the Eaglesfield junction.
The dead woman is believed to have been travelling in the Toyota with the man.
He left the scene shortly after the collision and was thought to have received a lift from a lorry driver to the motorway service station at Johnstonebridge.
The investigation into the circumstances continues.
