A CYCLIST is seriously ill in hospital after he was when he was involved in a collision in Greenock.
The incident, involving a car, happened around 4pm on Monday in Grieve Road.
The 48-year-old man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital suffering from a serious head injury. He was later transferred to a hospital in Glasgow for surgery.
His condition has been described as "serious".
The road was closed for some time after the accident while police carried out investigations.
