A driver has died after crashing into trees off a country road.
James McGregor, 67, died at the scene of the accident on the A75 near Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, at about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
Police said the car, a silver Ford Focus C-max, was travelling west when it left the road and collided with trees.
Four family members who were passengers in the car were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment to minor injures before they were released.
Officers closed the road to investigate the scene of the crash and are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
