Driver killed, passenger hurt in two-vehicle crash

A 54-YEAR-OLD man has died in a road accident.

The man, who was driving a Suzuki

Jimny, died at the scene of the crash on the A719 near Waterside, East Ayrshire.

He was travelling westbound at around 3.35pm on Sunday when the vehicle was in a collision with a Fiat Punto travelling in the opposite direction.

The man's 51-year-old female passenger was taken to Crosshouse Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 18-year-old male driver of the Punto was also taken to hospital.
