As part of a three-day tour entitled Ultimate Weekender, Example selected a dozen fans to take along to the six tour dates throughout Britain and stopped in at Nando's new Glasgow restaurant on Saturday afternoon.

Before playing the tour's Glasgow date at the Garage, London-born rapper Example tweeted a picture of himself and 12 fans dining at the Sauchiehall Street branch.

The image - which was also posted to Instagram - showed the group enjoying six jumbo platters, including 12 whole chickens and 30 side dishes ranging from chips, corn, mash, spicy rice, salad, and macho peas. Example and his guests also shared 60 chicken wings.

The fans were treated to an all-expenses paid weekend courtesy of the rapper as they made their way across the country to see him perform at shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Angela Boyd, General Manager of Nando's Sauchiehall Street said: "We were delighted that Example chose to treat his fans to a meal at our restaurant on Saturday, and understandably, there was a lot of excitement amongst our team when we found out.

"He clearly loves his PERi-PERi chicken and he's always welcome at our restaurant!"
