A FIRE broke out at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow this morning, with four teams of firefighters sent to the scene.

The blaze, described by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service as a small fire, started at around 8.57am in the kitchen area.

Four appliances were sent to deal with the problem and the fire was quickly extinguished.

It is not clear whether the building was evacuated or, at this stage, how much damage was done.
