Celtic fans in China will get access to all the latest club news after the Parkhead outfit announced it is to a new social media channel there.

The club said on it's official website that it will post news and match reports in Mandarin on the microblogging site Sina Weibo - which has over 500 million registered users.

The venture has been launched to mark the onset of Chinese New Year tomorrow - which is the same day the Hoops take on Inter Milan in the Europa League at Parkhead.

Celtic will also continue Chinese New Year celebrations with a video message from the players wishing fans a happy new year.

The club plan to celebrate on Sunday when the club face Hamilton Accies by welcoming hundreds of local Chinese students to the game, as well as local dignitaries from the Chinese Consulate in Edinburgh and representatives from the Glasgow Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Celtic will be celebrating with various Chinese themed activities for the kids ahead of the match on Sunday in the family stand.

BesTV will also broadcast a programme about the club's Chinese New Year celebrations.
