Glasgow motorcyclist dies in crash

A GLASGOW biker died in a horror motorbike accident on the Isle of Skye.

Alexander Brown was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the A87 near Loch Ainort.

The 33-year-old was from the Shawlands area of the city.

Police said the accident took place on the road between Luib and Sconser at about 9.40am on Sunday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The male motorcyclist who died on the A87 at Drumnacloch, near to Luib on the Isle of Skye on Sunday, can now be named as Alexander Kenneth Brown, 33, from the Shawlands area of Glasgow.

"A road traffic collision investigation has been carried out and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
