RAIL passengers found themselves in the dark when a computer glitch "froze" information screens at Glasgow's Central Station on Wednesday.
The problem happened around 11am and hit screens listing departing trains. Network Rail admitted trains which had left the busy station remained on screens until the glitch was overcome.
A Network Rail spokesman said: "It was a computer glitch which lasted for about 15 minutes. It did not cause much by way of hassle. Small televisions on platforms were working normally and the usual public announcements were made."
The glitch affected information screens at dozens of railway stations across the UK which are owned by the company which included Central Station. Other rail hubs operating a different system were unaffected.
