CELTIC manager Ronny Deila looked like he had picked up a new recruit today as he waved off a host of lucky kids as part of a annual charity trip.
The recently appointed boss joined more than 300 children with special needs and their carers in the West End before they head off for the Glasgow Taxi Outing.
The annual event, now in its 69th year, headed off from Kelvin Way and will be watched by hundreds of well-wishers who lined the route from Glasgow to Troon.
Drivers, who donate their taxis and their time to help out, dressed up in costume and decorated their cars for the occasion.
Tooting horns could be heard around the city as the procession made its way through the city centre to the seaside town.
More than 100 city taxi drivers give up a day for free to drive the children and their carers or parents to a fun day out in Troon.
Supporters include Glasgow Taxis Ltd, Celtic FC Foundation and new backers Optical Express.
Over the past 68 years, thousands of taxi drivers have donated their time and effort to make the Uuting the annual success that it is.
Most of the drivers don fancy dress costumes, much to the delight of the children and their parents and carers taking part.
