A MAN suffered serious injuries when he plunged 20ft after climbing on to a roof to offer workmen a cup of tea.
The 44-year-old was rushed to hospital after he fell from the roof of a family entertainment centre in Greenock.
Emergency services were called to Funworld, at Fort Matilda Industrial Estate, after the incident on Monday morning.
The man, who is believed to run a coffee stand at the centre, fell more than 20ft through the roof into an empty room within the building.
The man is recovering in Inverclyde Royal Hospital after receiving treatment for several broken bones.
In a statement, Funworld bosses thanked members of the public for their support following the accident.
It said: "Hoping that he will be on the mend soon and back serving you all one of his frothy coffees."
Police Scotland said inquiries are continuing into the circumstances.
