A MOTORIST had to be cut free from his car after he was involved in a crash with a lorry on the M8.
The accident happened on the motorway's westbound carriageway, near the Kingston Bridge.
Firefighters worked side-by-side with paramedics in the road rescue, which resulted in the man being safely released from the car and taken to the city's Southern General Hospital.
His condition was not known. The crash happened at around 12.25pm on Monday.
Crews from Yorkhill, Easterhouse and Polmadie responded to the crash, removing sections of the car to ensure the casualty could be safely removed from the vehicle on a spinal board.
