A MAN accused of murdering the brother of gangland figure Tam McGraw has made his first public court appearance.

Thomas Main is charged with knifing to death Francis McGrow in October last year at a property in Springboig, Glasgow.

The 41-year-old was in the dock on Monday for a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

Main also faces a separate charge of stealing jars of coffee and household items from a shop in the city's east-end.

He is finally accused of breaching a bail curfew.

Judge Lord Burns adjourned the case until a further preliminary hearing next month.
