The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of the property.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, said: "Two appliances were immediately sent from Maryhill Community Fire Station along with a third from Knightswood.

"Crews were on scene less than five minutes after the call was received.

"Four firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the property to search for further casualties but no-one else was inside the property."
