ONE lane of the M8 westbound will remain closed for the rest of the day following a crash between a van and a lorry.
The accident happened between Junctions 15 and 16 westbound - near Dobbie's Loan - at 11.10am today and while the drivers of both vehicles escaped without injury, damage to a roadside barrier means one lane will need to remain closed through the rush hour and into tonight.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Both drivers were checked over and neither was injured.
"But damage to the barrier will need to be repaired before the lane can reopen and the lane is expected to be closed for the rest of today."
